Freedom Foundation was looking for an easy way to allow people to find bills they cared about that they could easily send to their Senators or Congressmen. To accomplish this, I built a series of WordPress integrations that used WordPress pages that linked to a Congressional Lookup tool. This tool used Google Civic Information API plus Google Maps to allow people to enter their address or click & drag a pin to find their Senator or Representative. Continuing from there, they would be taken to a “Take Action” form built using Gravity Forms where they could edit a pre-written statement to send to the Senators and Representatives they had selected.
